About

Mini Downhill

Borders Mini Downhill was set up to try to give young riders the opportunity to try competing in a relaxed environment.

Typical Race Day

Sign On:

This usually takes place from around 9:00am. If you are under 16 years old you will require an adult to sign on with you.

Walking the track:

We advise you to walk the track on FOOT before the track is live. Bikes should not be on the track at all until it opens for practise runs due to health and safety requirements.

Practise Runs:

Practice runs will start between 09:30 and 10:00 .  This is dependant on how quickly we get enough marshals to allow the race to go ahead.  If you would like to help with marshalling, you will be provided with lunch.

Race Runs:

We have 2 timed race runs that will start at approximately 13:00. Race order is usually from youngest to oldest riders.

Results and Podium:

When this takes place is dependant on the number of riders. The three fastest riders in each catagory will be awarded a medal and prize money.
